TOOL BOX LIFT GATE DELIVERY
There is lift gate delivery, which is an additional option provided by the freight company. These
services allow the freight company to be responsible for the unloading of your toolbox from the truck to
the ground. You do not have to choose this option if you have other means of removing/unloading your
shipment.

Tool Box Delivery inspection
IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE SHIPMENT IS PROPERLY INSPECTED WHEN RECEIVING A TOOLBOX.
The terms and conditions of FedEx’s deliveries clearly state that you can only inspect your shipment
when there are signs of damages to the exterior packaging. Inspect carefully and look for the following
signs of damages: simple tears in shrink wrap, broken pallet, even scuffs and marks on the packaging
allow you to inspect your shipment.
Take notes of any damages to the cardboard or crate, or even the shrink wrap before removing. If
severe damage is noticed on the exterior packaging such as:
• BOX IS CAVED IN
• FORKLIFT HOLES
• EXPOSED METAL
PLEASE STOP AND NOTATE THE DAMAGES ON THE BILL OF LADING and THEN CONTINUE
INSPECTING
Open all packaging and plastic and visually inspect all areas of the tool box for any damage thoroughly.
Signing for your shipment
When signing, you are agreeing with the freight company that you or an authorized representative has
thoroughly inspected the shipment. You agree that you have received your shipment without damage
and have waived any rights to file a claim with the freight company.
All products arriving by carrier freight must be inspected before signing for the product. You must
refuse the delivery if your shipment comes damaged and notate the damage on the bill of
lading. For your protection, this is necessary even though the responsibility is with the carrier. Please
notify and contact German Hand Tools immediately that way we can be of assistance to you. If you
accept damage freight, German Hand Tools cannot be liable and won’t be able to assist you with a
freight claim.
